Compressed Cement Sheets

Compressed fibre cement sheeting (CFC) is often used as external cladding and for internal wet area applications because of its water resistant properties. Liquid applied waterproofing membranes can be applied directly over CFC sheet to provide a fully waterproof surface. To ensure good adhesion of waterproofing membranes to CFC sheet, it is recommended to prime the surface before membrane application to consolidate any surface dust. Crommelin recommends priming with either Crommelin Waterproofing Surface Primer for DIY projects or Crommelin Powerflex for larger commercial applications. Once primed, CFC sheet may be waterproofed with any Crommelin under-tile, below ground or exposed waterproofing area membrane.
