Frequently Asked Questions about Maximum Grip

Will this make my floor slippery?
No. Maximum Grip gives a reliable slip-resistant finish for safe use on concrete, paving, and similar surfaces.

What is Maximum Grip designed for?
Maximum Grip is a slip-resistant safety floor coating designed for concrete and masonry surfaces where improved pedestrian safety is required. It is ideal for workshops, warehouses, stairwells, ramps, plant rooms, walkways, and safety-demarcated areas.

Is it suitable for commercial use?
Absolutely. Maximum Grip is built for high-traffic areas and meets Australian workplace safety requirements.

What colours and finishes are available?

  • Grey: Stairs, workshops, warehouses, sloped surfaces
  • Clear: Maintains natural surface look while adding slip resistance
  • Red: Danger zones, emergency equipment, fire areas
  • Yellow: Hazards, low doors, steps, pedestrian paths, traffic markings
  • Blue: PPE storage, info boards, entrances, equipment areas
  • Green: First aid, safety equipment, exit routes

Will it peel or flake?
No, when applied correctly on clean, dry, and sound surfaces, it stays durable.

Can I apply it myself?
Yes. DIY-friendly with proper surface prep and a trial patch for best results. Call our 7 day helpline if you get stuck: 1800 655 711.

How long before I can use the area?
Light foot traffic: 4 hours. Full cure: 7 days.

What surfaces can I use it on?
Concrete, masonry, porous natural stone, and compressed cement sheeting. Not suitable for dense stone, clay pavers, ceramic tiles, timber, or weak/dusty surfaces.

Can I use Maximum Grip on polished concrete?
Yes, if the polished concrete remains porous. Place a small bead of water on the surface and leave it for about 60 seconds. After wiping it away, the surface should show signs of moisture absorption or darkening. If the water simply beads on the surface without soaking in, the concrete is too dense for Maximum Grip and an alternative coating system should be considered.
